A woman is found dead in the cell of her imprisoned husband
Authorities of the Attorney General's Office (PGJ) are investigating the death of a woman that occurred this afternoon, in the North Men's Preventive Prison.
The deceased would come to visit her husband, who is deprived of liberty because of a legal process.
Around 2:30 p.m., a guard heard noises in one of the bedrooms, so he approached the site and found the body of the woman lying on the floor, in the same place was the person allegedly responsible for the murder, who is said to be her husband.
The first investigations indicate that moments before the man and the woman had an argument and he assaulted her to death.
The Attorney General's Office initiated the investigations of the case and activated the femicide protocol to investigate the case.
"Specialists in chemistry, photography and criminalistics work in the place to establish the mechanics of the events, while agents of the Investigative Police gather testimonies," explained the PGJ.
